Michigan Veteran Homes offers quality long-term care to veterans and their eligible family members.
About us
Michigan Veteran Homes (MVH) is the administrative entity that operates the state’s veteran homes on behalf of the Michigan Veterans Facility Authority and is a branch of the Michigan Department of Military and Veteran Affairs. MVH strives to ensure that quality long-term care is provided to the veterans and their eligible family members that live within the Homes. High quality care for this phase of life is central to the “member for life” concept that DMVA embraces. The MVH operates the Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids (MVHGR), the Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti (MCHDJJ) in Marquette and the new Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township (MVHCT).

It takes community. We’re grateful for our friends at MISSION BBQ who sponsored more than 60 wreaths for the Wreaths Across America event at the Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids cemetery this December. The cemetery was one of ninety-eight sites across the country selected by Mission BBQ to support for the National Wreaths Across America Day 2024, contributing more than $347,000 to the event nationally. MVH had the opportunity to stop by Mission BBQ Grand Rapids and thank them for their support of those who’ve served; and of course, they were generously providing a complimentary meal for our MVH #veterans. It takes community. #michigan

A great morning at Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township connecting community to our people and mission. A special thank you to the many sponsors, volunteers, and donors that made today a success. It takes a village to serve those who’ve served us. And the village showed up. #veterans #southeastmichigan

Michigan Veteran Homes was honored and proud to present to 200+ other leaders in veteran services at the 2024 Michigan Veterans Leadership Summit in downtown #Detroit. Through the generous giving of time, talents, treasures, ties, and/or testimony, there are plentiful ways individuals and organizations can make an impact on veterans’ lives in late-in-life and end-of-life care at MVH. Plug in https://lnkd.in/ee55EzHC Thanks to our friends at the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency for again putting this great event together, to DTE Energy for generously providing the venue and supporting the event, and to the other sponsors for making this event possible. #mivetsummit #veterans #michigan
