This week in Grand Rapids, DVULI is hosting five cohorts of urban youth workers from Cleveland, Fresno, NYC, Orlando, and San Diego for the “Systems Thinking” conference where they learn how to better understand and deal with the causes of underlying problems. Participants learn to see situations, events, and people–including themselves–as part of a larger systemic picture in each of their personal lives, ministries, and communities. As this awareness deepens, it helps them to better leverage where, when, and how to take effective action.
